Selena Gomez has just dropped her new song meant for the second season of the Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why. And while its title "Back To You" is already saying something, its lyrics can't help but make fans ponder if it really has something to do with her on-and-off again relationship with Justin Bieber. Jelena shippers and non-shippers alike suspect that the lyrics "You could break my heart in two / But when it heals, it beats for you / I know it;s forward but it's true / I wanna hold you when I'm not supposed to / When I'm laying close to someone else" point to the days when not-over-Biebs Sel was dating The Weeknd and Charlie Puth. It was parallel to Charlie opening up to Billboard that during their "short-lived" romance, he wasn't the "only person on her (Selena's) mind". While Abel sings about him being a "pit stop" before the songstress came running back to Justin in his song "Calling Out My Name". Coincidence? Then on the first verse she refers to her and Justin's reconciliation after her kidney transplant and split with Abel through, "And every time we talk / Every single word builds up to this moment / And I gotta convince myself I don't want it, even though I do." And though "Everybody knows we got unfinished business", Sel would "regret it if I didn't say this is isn't what it could be", meaning there might be a bigger picture than getting back together again seemingly confirming recent E! News report that she has "completely moved on" from the Canadian singer. Listen to "Back To You" here: article source: MYX Philippines |
